As if having a queen on your money wasn’t gay enough! Torbay (Torquay), or as some in the UK refer to it, the Rainbow Rivera, is in the midst of a little social experiment as of late. Caught up, no doubt, by the area’s Pride weekend arriving July 16th and celebrating until the 19th, gay bars in this south Devon resort have been handing out pounds with pink stickers on them while the rest of the country sees just how far the gay pound can reach.
